Shelfmarks Authority File
The shelfmarks of manuscripts and early printed books included in this authority file come from two sources:
- catalogues and databases of the Biblissima’s partners, which have been gradually integrated into the Biblissima portal since 2017 (see the development log and updates)
- datasets merged into the IIIF Collections of Manuscripts and Rare Books platform (IIIF-compliant digital libraries).
Every shelfmark is linked to its current holding location (library, archive or private collection), which is listed in the Organizations Authority File. The current location of the documents is mostly based on information provided by the databases.
The different labels of shelfmarks coming from the original resources have been harmonized and clustered around a single label. This label reflects, with some adjustments, the form of the label as they appear in the source data or the form currently in use at the holding institutions.
Le référentiel signale les manuscrits et imprimés ayant fait l'objet d'une numérisation. Si la numérisation est compatible avec le protocole IIIF, l'URL du ou des manifeste(s) associé(s) est renseigné sous la propriété manifeste IIIF.
Une série de liens vers les bases de données partenaires de Biblissima, des catalogues de bibliothèque ou d'autres projets viennent compléter les pages de chaque cote.
